In 1928 Karuppa Nadars raised a general funds of Rs. 612/- Anas 9 paise 3 among themselves and bought the eastern side site of the ull street Kamatchi Amman Koil. The balance amount was loaned to VMPMS for interest. With the enhanced amount in 1932 Karuppa Nadars bought a godown at Kattayapuram Avallappa samy koil street in Virudhanagar for Rs.500/- and that godown was let out for rent. Balance amount and the accumulated rent were loaned out for interest to reliable parties. With that enhanced amount in 1935 the northern side site of Madha Koil was bought for PA Ramalinga Nadar for Rs. 375/- and was adjoined to the Koil land. Balance amount was loaned out to many parties and then the amount was consolidated to Rs. 5310/- and the total amount was loaned to VPS & Brs. Kattayepuram godown was also maintained and its rent was also enhanced yearly and added to the Madha Koil Fund.
In 19…… a land of 50 Kulis was bought at Northern side of Arpukuottai Road and eastern side of Old NCC building for a proposed marriage hall. Balance amount was deposited in Canara Bank on ………… in a S/B account No . That account is operated jointly by secretary and treasurer.
Finance is raised through Thalai kattu vari , hundial Donations besides this
direct donation from pongalees, material sponsorship from pongalees etc. with
this resources Kovil daily expenditure ,Municipal tax, festival expenditure structural
developments etc are under taken till recently, the balance amnount , after a
special work, has bean loaned to needy pangalees for a marginal interest by the
committee and the amount was multiplied. But recently the debtor , mostly, were
non commited in nature . so loaning system was stopped and the amount was deposited
in Tamil nadu mereantile Bank Ltd, and Karur Vysya bank by the Administrative
committee as fixed deposites . for routine transactions a savings bank a/c has
been in operation with both banks under the name, "Megavarnam, Kotchar and Karuppa
Nadar Vakaiyarkaluku Pathiyapata ull Street Kamatchi Amman Kovil a/c ". The bank
a/c is operated with the combined signatures of president, secretary and Treasurer.
The hall which was constructed newly at the northern side of the Kovil in 1990
is let out for rent to our pangalees and to other reliable parties and that amount
is also accumuated and deposited in the bank. The hall is utilised by the tenents
for small conferences, marriage betrother , small social and family functions
etc.
